In addition to visiting the Bulletin, logging-in, and posting new content, Authors may add their work via RSS Feed. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS Feeds are typically an option offered by most Blog, Article-post, and News Websites. Typically, a raw RSS Feed is produced for use with RSS readers, external Websites, and PDA devices. With consideration to the decline of Conventional Press, RSS is the best way to quickly circulate Press Releases, Informative Works, Business News, and How-to articles. Our Bulletin utilizes a Syndication-bot for fetching articles and information. This is done by utilizing a RSS Feed list for our Bot to Spider. Individuals whom manage a Blog or Information Archive may specify the RSS URL and the Bulletin Column, on our site, that content should appear. Our Bot will periodically open the RSS Feed, compare the Articles to those already appearing in the Bulletin, and include any new content. Articles, that are not in the bulletin, are added to the Columns Specified. Therefore, the RSS Feed does not need to be opened each time a user wishes to read content. RSS Feeds must be relative to one of the current Columns featured in the Bulletin. Careful consideration is utilized when adding an RSS Feed to our Spider-List. A Marketing RSS Feed must focus on Marketing. A Real Estate Investing RSS Feed must focus exclusively on Real Estate Investing. Often, Bloggers have trouble resisting the impulse to write personal dialog on their topic specific blog. This causes trouble for us, as our Syndication-bot will add the content to one of our Columns. The Syndication-bot has been in use since it’s development in September of 2007. We have fine tuned the bot to include advertising, links, and images. There are some areas that need improvement. Further documentation will be offered to assist in making RSS Feeds, “Bot Friendly”. There are no guarantees on the length of time before works will be added to our Database. Our bot browses the Web at it’s leisure looking for new content. RSS Feeds that typically offer new content are checked more frequently than feeds that do not. There are two important options to consider before submitting an RSS Feed. Should our Syndication-bot appear as the Author of your content or should you appear as the Author? If you are a Registered User of the Bulletin, our Syndication-bot can add the content under your user name. This will enable the use of adding Signatures and Contact information (Profile Page). Otherwise, content pulled from the RSS Feed will be displayed with the Syndication-bot as the Author.
